With multiple courses and TD's, was there not an option to pivot to 1 course, a 1 day event, or even dropping to a C Tier if added cash is the issue?

I know the PDGA doesn't refund the sanctioning costs to the TD, and DGSCENE doesn't refund the processing fee to the players that registered. A change in format instead of a cancellation would at least prevent lost money for everyone involved.

Hopefully some more information will clear this up, because right now this is all just speculation.
