My son is currently 6 and doesn't turn 7 until October. Would he play in mj06? Will the layout be playable the day before? Thanks! Apr 2, 2025
Steven Macneill Apr 3, 2025He will play mj6 yes. I will paint the temp tee pads on 4/11 so it will be ready day before.
Kim Burde Apr 3, 2025Hey Guys, per the PDGA- the correct answer is: MJ06 - Less than or equal to 6 on birthday in the calendar year (turning six this year) if he is turning 7 this year, he would play MJ08
Willie Spurgeon Apr 9, 2025He turns 7 in October of this year so he'll have to be in MJ8 correct? If so I entered him in the wrong division. He also has a pdga number now

Hi Macneill,
Age eligibility is based on what age you are turning during the year. Or, simply, 2025 minus birth year. A kid turning 7 in October is 7 years old all year, and is ineligible for MJ06 all year.
PDGA fees for juniors divisions are the same as adult divisions. However, for a C-tier, we do not charge the non-member fee for any non-member competing in a junior division.
Let us know if you need anything else!
