Thanks folks for organizing this! Is there a minimum number of players there needs to be in a category for it to not be canceled? I am in 60+, if there is a minimum (just 2 at the moment) will we automatically have the option to play in 50+? Thanks in advance! Mar 31, 2025

Hi Éric, great question — and here’s how it works according to the PDGA:
The rule about "fewer than three players" applies to groups on the course, not divisions. So if, for example, we have two players in MA60 and two in MA50, all four can still play in their respective divisions — and can even be grouped together for their round.
What the PDGA wants to avoid is only two players playing a round alone, unless a Tournament Official is with them. Since we don’t have the staff to assign an official to follow a small group, we’ll make sure everyone is grouped appropriately to stay within the rules.
So no worries — you can still compete in MA60 even if there are only two players, as long as you're grouped with players from other divisions.
Thanks again for reaching out — we’re looking forward to seeing you out there!
