Disclaimer: I am not an organizer of either, but thought I'd respond since no one else has and it has been two weeks since you inquired. These are different events. The Big Picture Classic is in its 8th year. The Pagosa Open was organized last year by Kevin Metzler (aka Master Class Productions https://www.discgolfscene.com/club/10156/master-class-productions-llc). You might contact him directly to see if he plans to run any tournaments in Pagosa this year.
