Good Afternoon Players,
Welcome everyone to the 4th Annual Winter Thaw @ White Spruce. I hope everyone is getting excited for this year's event. This email will go over some stuff that will be important to the event as well as answer questions people might have for the event.
Tournament Schedule
The event will be running in a tee-time format. First-round tee times will be posted Wednesday night, Links for both days will be found below. Please note the attached document called Tee Times Block, this document will show you the block of tee times your division will have as well as what time your second round will be. This year all divisions will be reshuffling for the second round. If you are playing Sunday, I highly recommend bringing lunch.

Check-In
Players, Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your tee time to receive your players' pack as well check-in with the starter to go over any last-minute points for the event. We highly recommend you to plan extra time for parking and traffic at the park due to the high volume of players. Each card will tee off on their tee times with NO Exemptions. If you are late, you will receive Par +4 for each hole that you are not present before the first card member tees off.
Course Rules
With current conditions, we will be playing all 20 holes. If this changes I will let everyone know before they tee off for their first round. We will be playing the normal OBs of the course with the Roads, Paved Paths, Parking Lots and Fences. If conditions require us to change rules or remove any holes I will send an email on Friday clarifying that.
Hole 4: We will be playing the Hanging (New Basket) From the White/Blue Tee this season, Reds (Shorts) will play the original basket.
Hole 10: Mando Right, All missed Mando shots will proceed to the drop zone
Hole 11: Mando Left, If Mando is Missed proceed to the Next tee. Red Tee will be a Re-tee.
Parking
With around 120 players each day, parking will fill up fast. Carpooling where possible is strongly recommended. Due to the road leading to the back parking lots being fenced off, we will be limited heavily by the amount of parking. Please plan accordingly and give yourself time to try to find parking. Alternatively, you can park on one of the residential streets backing the course (Barr Cres, Esker Drive, Forestgrove Cir). If you choose this option please call your vehicle into the city to avoid a ticket for extended parking times (https://brampton.gtechna.net/parkingconsideration/visitorpass/index.xhtml). The public school that backs onto the Park also will have some parking so that is also another option if you need it.
Raffle
This year we will be running a raffle, We will be working alongside members of the White Spruce Club to help raise money for the Tee Pad Project at White Spruce. You can purchase your tickets at the event for Cash or by E-Transfer.
Final Points
There will be some discs available on-site for cash or E-Transfer. There will be Dyed discs available from Saunders Swirls, a brand-new local dyer.
With the recent conditions at the course over the past week, we ask that everyone be careful and be safe while practicing the course as well as thank any White Spruce Club member you see doing work to prep for this event. Without members of the club helping the tournament would never be possible.
