As the enchanted sun set over Week 9, the players of the Chilled Chainsmen League stepped onto the course—not as ordinary mortals, but as witches and wizards, each chasing greatness with every spellbound throw.
The end of term is nearly upon us. The owls are whispering. The House Cup hangs in the balance, and everyone’s looking to etch their name into the enchanted scrolls of league history. Some soared like Hippogriffs. Others? Well… they’ll be serving detention in the dungeons of bogeydom.
Let’s open the Marauder’s Map and see where everyone stood this week.
Tier A: The Duel of the Dueling Club ????♂️
Thomas Voight (-9) stormed through the course like a true master of the Dark Arts. Whether it was raw talent or Felix Felicis, Thomas made magic with every throw, and it paid off.
Marshal Morris (-8) was hot on his broomstick, playing with precision and power that only a wizard of his caliber could muster.
Scott Groves (-7)? He’s the quiet one in the corner of the common room—until he steps up and starts hexing baskets like he’s casting Expelliarmus with every putt.
Mid-pack, a tight grouping of Gryffindor-level grit:
Allen Black (-5)
Isaiah Gall (-4)
Dave Rector (-4)
Frank Costales (-4)
All of them flying neck-and-neck on their Nimbus 2000s, trying to sneak into the top tower before the season ends.
Seth Asing (-3) trails just slightly, but don’t count him out—he’s still got some fire left in his Gringotts vault.
Tier B: The Forbidden Forest Grows Wild ????
Rodney Stepp (-6) came out of the Forbidden Forest like a man on a mission—hexing drives and charming chains all round long. He’s on a path toward Tier B glory unless someone breaks out a Time Turner in Week 10.
Jeremy Ratliff (-5) and Patrick Phelps (-4) followed closely behind, determined not to let Rodney claim the Triwizard Trophy uncontested.
Christopher Foley (-3) is still lurking in the shadows like a well-read Ravenclaw, calculating his rise with cool-headed spells.
Weslee Moon (-2)? Under the radar, but no less dangerous—he's the kind of wizard you underestimate at your own peril.
Then there’s Kelly Allen (E)—once the head of Slytherin house in Tier B. But the magic is flickering. Has his wand run dry? Or is he preparing one last Avada Birdie-dabra for Week 10?
David Griffin (+2) and Selven Christianson (+3) will need something special—perhaps a potion of power, or a well-placed wand wave—to climb out of the dungeon before the final round.
Tier C: Adam Finds the Philosopher’s Stone ????
Adam Fogelman (-2) brewed up a brilliant performance this week, commanding the course like a professor at Hogwarts. Tier C is his for now—but magic has a way of surprising even the most careful spellcasters.
Gage Mercer (+3) couldn’t quite match the spellwork this time, but he’s still flying. A few transfigured throws in Week 10, and who knows?
Tier D: Carrie’s Enchanted Reign Continues ????
Carrie Foley (+6) must be carrying the Elder Wand, because this marks her fifth straight win in Tier D. She’s enchanted, empowered, and undeniably the Head Girl of her division.
Gwendolyn Hoibokk (+13) and Rheannon Fabrallo (+13) both fought hard, but Carrie’s control of Tier D is beginning to feel like a charm no one can break.
If someone doesn’t step up soon, the Sorting Hat may just move her straight into a higher division next term.
???? The 1000-Rated Round Club – Wizards Among Wizards
They didn’t achieve these rounds this week, but across this magical 10-week journey, three wizards have joined the league’s most powerful inner circle—the 1000-Rated Round Club:
Justin Foster – 1013 (He’s practically got a Patronus made of plastic and chains.)
Marshal Morris – 1002 (Throwing like he’s been mentored by Dumbledore himself.)
Thomas Voight – 1001 (A wizard of focus, precision, and quiet domination.)
These are the names you whisper about in the halls of Hogwarts. The ones who turn par into poetry and bogeys into legends.
???? Looking Ahead to Week 10: One Round to Rule Them All
We’ve come to the end of the term. The final exam. The last Defense Against the Bogeys class.
Can Thomas seal his fate as Tier A’s chosen one? Or will Marshal or Scott spoil the prophecy?
Will Rodney claim the Triwizard glory in Tier B, or will a last-minute spell from Patrick or Jeremy flip the script?
Can Adam protect his Philosopher’s Stone in Tier C? Or is a magical upset brewing from Gage?
And will Carrie continue her magical Tier D dynasty—or will someone break the spell?
Only one round remains. Wands at the ready. Chains await.
May your discs fly true, your spells be precise, and your chains always be charmed. ????⛓️
