Due to the high likelihood of potentially severe weather tomorrow, we will be using a shotgun start format instead of tee times. This decision, guided by the PDGA, the City of Greensboro, and our concern for your safety, is the best way to ensure all divisions can hopefully complete a full round.
The wellbeing of everyone at this event is our top priority. We understand this change may disrupt some players' pre-planned schedules, but it is the best logistical option under these circumstances.
We will hold a mandatory safety meeting at 8:00 AM, and tee off at 8:30 AM. Hole assignments will be posted this evening. This meeting is not optional.
Mid-Event Suspension Procedures
- If play is suspended due to unsafe conditions, we will sound three consecutive blasts from an air horn or car horn.
- Players must immediately stop play, mark their lie and return to tournament central or their vehicle
- A natural object is sufficient to mark the approximate lie if you don't have a mini
- Play will be suspended for a minimum of thirty minutes after which time we will evaluate conditions
If you are unable to attend tomorrow, please let me know as soon as possible so we can coordinate tee times. Failure to notify will result in an 888 (Class D4) in accordance with PDGA Rule 5.06. Contact me via email or phone.
