Wednesday Night Lights Doubles League will be at Kincaid tonight! Of course in another week or so it might not be Wednesday Night Lights, might just be Wednesday Evening Dubs with lights on your last hole or 2 only Doubles League. We'll need to work on the acronym for that. WEDWLOYLHO2ODL.
Saturday we'll have the cool league at Kincaid as well. Still short pads to gold baskets, or yellow if gold is to blingy for you. Once the ice eases up we'll throw the sapphire baskets into the mix.
Ice Bowl Recap:
Haskin took it all down with his poor mans -18. I guess he was too cheap to buy a single mulligan and try for the perfection+ score by getting an ace. Real nice Jake, way to not care about charity. Groves ended up at -17. Word is that he threw his entire bag off the tee from hole 4 and didn't secure the birdie. His card was at a loss and had to seek TD for a rules interpretation on which disc was his lie, as once the bag hit the ground 50 feet in front of the teepad all his discs just spilled out. Turns out Scott thought throwing your whole bag was something nobody else imagined.
B Pool was secured by Humphrey and his -16. He also threw his whole bag on 4 (the normal way), and word is he was in an uncontrolled rage at not getting the drive he wanted and started grabbing discs out of other players bags and shanking them into the void. Once he realized he had to pay for each of those shots he calmed down and realized he was in B pool and could easily win without hole 4. Pat Phelps -15 came down from the valley and got second for the imaginary B pool (4th overall). I don't have anything to comment on Phelps other than I met his dad last summer.
Lastly Eli finally took Jeremy down in the C pool showdown. We won't guess at the mulligans, but word is that there's a few angry loan sharks out there looking for Wright. I'm sure there were some other C pool players who did better or worse, but I don't actually know you and you don't get a shoutout. This is Eli's time to shine.
Shout out to Bill Maury-Holmes for the event and all the players who participated. I wasn't actually there and didn't talk to anyone who was there. But I'm sure it all played out exactly as I described. Maybe.
