Showdown at Alcantra: A Disc Golf Duel in the Valley
The sun hung high over the dusty plains of Alcantra, a treacherous course known for testing the mettle of even the sharpest sharpshooters. On this fine day, the best disc slingers in town gathered for a showdown, each gunning for the title of top gunslinger in their division.
Tier A: The Deadeye Duelists
At the top of the leaderboard, Scott Groves rode into town like a ghost on the wind, leaving his competition in the dust with blistering -10 performance and the only bogey free round. Not far behind, Thomas Voight kept his aim steady at -8, while Justin Foster cooled off a bit under pressure at -7, if only he could have stayed bogey free he could have tied Scott at the top. As the battle raged, Isaiah Gall and Dave Rector found themselves in a dead heat, each putting up a fight but missing out on the top bounty.
Tier B: The Maverick Marksmen
In another part of town, Kelly Allen emerged as the quickest draw, nailing a -7 to claim victory. Rodney Stepp wasn't far behind, keeping his hat tipped at -5, while Patrick Phelps followed close behind with a -3 but both couldn't avoid the bogeys, which kept them from tying Kelly. As the wind kicked up and the dust settled, Alex Strawn and Adam Smithers held their own, but in the end, it was Allen who walked away the undisputed champion of the B-tier shootout.
Tier C: The Outlaw Underdogs
In the wild and unpredictable C Tier, Gage Mercer proved himself the meanest outlaw with a score of -3, narrowly escaping a shootout with the relentless Adam Fogelman, who held on at +1. The outlaw trail wasn’t kind to Jerrin Fabrallo, who finished at +3, but he vowed to ride again and take another shot at victory next time.
Tier D: The Grit and Gumption Gang
For the true grinders, the ones with grit under their nails and fire in their bellies, Tier D was a battle of pure determination. Gwendolyn Hoibokk fought through the trials of the land to finish at +16, while Rheannon Fabrallo stayed hot on her heels at +18. Though the course tested them with every twist and turn, they stood tall, proving their courage and skill in the heart of the frontier.
As the sun dipped behind the horizon and the last discs were holstered, Alcantra had once again proven why it was a battlefield for the bold. Some rode off into the sunset as champions, while others vowed to return, hungry for redemption. One thing was for certain—this was a duel to remember, and the legend of Alcantra would only grow stronger with time.
