Another reminder that we are not having league play tomorrow 3/8/25. Instead get signed up for the Ice Bowl and buy yourself a ton of mulligans so you can finally shoot the rating you think you are. Some of ya'll might need to get pre-approved for a bank loan. Check the tourney page for info and to register.
Week 5 Recap:
A pool showed up in force with 12 players. 4 of whom all shot -5 (par 55) to take a share of 1st place. 3 of them were on the same dang card. But nice shooting to Frank, Scott, Robinson, and David Gall. The first 3 dudes all had 8 birdies on the day to lead the way for all players. No wonder I couldn't get anything going since they hogged all the birdies. Isaiah and John (the dude who famously donated to the ace pool) followed with -4 each. There wasn't a single player in the field who didn't take at least two bogey strokes.
B pool went back to being B pool with Allen having his first off day. I don't want to take all the credit, but I did make him play with me. You're welcome B pool. Allen left such a shadow on the top of the B pool mountain that Weslee and Chris decided to just share the top with their -3s. Loren made a rare showing and took a share of third with Briseno at -1.
Big news ya'll. C pool almost wasn't won by Jeremy. He still took 1st of course, but had to share 1st place with Eli. Way to go Eli, I saw you out there practicing solo after the round the week before. Eli got his first 800 rated round of the series (applause). Julia came out to round out C pool and had fun :)
Hole 4 was the easiest out there with a 2.64 avg and 11 birdies on the day. Hole 13 was just a tick behind at 2.68 and 11 birdies. Tho that's your own damn fault 13, you caged the crap out of my putt and sent it rolling across the cross county trail. May your stats always put you second at best in everything you do. Preferably you continue fall down the course stats leaderboard and disc golfers worldwide look at you with distain. I hope stories are told of your inadequacies. I look forward to songs and poems of your failings. Take notice that you'll never be in anyone's dream 18. We laugh and snicker at your layout. Even the trees on your fairway are falling down out of sheer boredom. Your basket is better used as a dog's urinal.
Hole 6 continues to have the teeth to keep our league humble. We shot over a half stroke over par at 3.56 and had zero birdies. 11 of us took bogey or worse! Holes 11 and 15 were slightly nicer at 3.48. Still no birdies on either while handing out 12 bogeys on hole 11 and 10 bogeys (or worse) on hole 15. Hole 9 was the 4th hardest and the remaining hole to give out zero birdies.
Front 9 had 5 of the easiest holes. But the stretch of 16 through 4 has 6 out of 9 of the easiest holes if that makes sense.
We'll be back at Kincaid for leagues on 3/15/25.
And just kidding 13, I still love you bro. We're good. You got me big time with that one, but I know you're just playing.
