Yes we'll be at Kincaid again this weekend. Short pads to gold baskets.
Recap week 4:
The Allen Black show continued for the 4th straight week. This dude has taken first in B pool each week of this series. And still hasn't finished worse than 3rd overall while taking the top score twice. This past week he won over everybody by at least 4 strokes (47 rating points over second place!). For the league he is shooting 61 points above his rating. Black and 2nd place (A pool) finisher Sramek were the only 2 players to go bogey free on the round. Alex came down from Mat-Su to make his 2025 league debut and take 2nd place in B pool/3rd overall. Well done.
Speaking of pool domination, Lukas also has placed 1st each week in C pool. He's shooting 40 points above his rating for this league. I watched the end of his round and he plays his game and lets the young bucks take risky shots. He's consistent and stays in his lane to collect the cash each week. Wright couldn't close the gap but landed a couple birdies.
A pool was led by Dan with an up and down birdie/bogey round. The aforementioned bogey free Sramek took second. It was a surprisingly slow round for some other big hitters.
Hole 13 was the easiest hole out there at a half stroke under par. Half the field (9) got the birdie on one of the shortest holes out there. 10 of us got the birdie on hole 12 (par 4) which gave it the second best score relative to par at 3.56.
Hardest hole was 9 whooping up on the field by not giving up any birdies, 8 bogeys, and 2 doubles bogeys+. We averaged .61 strokes over par. Yikes. Holes 6/11/15 were equally trouble at a half stroke over par and zero birdies. Hole 6 handed out a bogey to half the field (9).
Special shoutout to hole 5 which shouldn't be all that hard but gave out 4 bogeys, two of which were on my card. For privacy sake I won't mention the two MP40 guys by name. BUT, Co-Director James was the only one to get the birdie on the day! So league directors averaged par as a group. Woohoo!
Black, James, Dan, Morgan, and Killian are the top five in the points race. And we know Dan isn't going to call in sick on league day, so I'll be on yer heels for the next 6 weeks boys. Tortoise wins in the end.
Get your money in for this weekend at Kincaid. We'll switch to a Kincaid/Goon rotating schedule for the rest of this league.
