A long time ago, on a disc golf course not so far away… the Chilled Chainsmen League waged its fiercest battles yet. The Force was strong in Week 5 as fearless competitors fought for galactic supremacy. Some wielded their putters like lightsabers, while others relied on the wisdom of the ancient Jedi to guide their discs through the trees.
There were aces as powerful as a proton torpedo, dark-side comebacks, and a leaderboard shake-up across the tiers. Let’s embark on this week’s journey to the Chilled Side of the Force.
Tier A: Justin the Jedi, Frank the Sharpshooter, and Tom’s Lightspeed Ace
In the battle for Tier A, the Jedi Master Justin Foster (-12) remained the undisputed leader of the galaxy. With the composure of a seasoned Jedi Knight, he used the Force (and a deadly putter) to hold off all challengers.
But Frank Costales (-11) nearly struck him down! On Hole 3, Frank unleashed a Force-powered ace, launching his disc like a TIE fighter straight into the heart of the chains. The crowd erupted like the destruction of the Death Star.
Meanwhile, Thomas Voight (-7) had his own moment of Jedi brilliance when he aced Hole 6, proving that the Force was strong with him as well. But even with their lightspeed throws, Justin’s steady hand on the final holes kept him in control.
Marshal Morris (-5) and Seth Asing (-3) fought bravely, but the Tier A throne still belongs to Justin… for now.
Will Frank and Tom rise again next week, or will the dark side of bogeys strike them down?
Tier B: The Sith Lord Rises Again—Kelly Allen’s Dark Reign Continues
For the third straight week, Kelly Allen (-7) has used the dark side of the Force to dominate Tier B. His putts are too precise, his drives too powerful—it is clear now that he has embraced the path of the Sith.
Some say he has made a secret alliance with the Dark Lords of Disc Golf, draining birdies at will and crushing his opponents with an unrelenting fury. His red glow-in-the-dark putter is rumored to be powered by a kyber crystal, and his precision on the fairways is unmatched.
But rebellion still exists. Jeremy Ratliff (-5) and Patrick Phelps (-5) fought bravely to stop Kelly’s reign, but even they could not slow his relentless march to victory.
Alex Strawn (-3) and Christopher Foley (-1) remain in the shadows, waiting for their moment to rise. But can anyone stop Kelly’s iron grip on Tier B, or has the dark side already won?
Tier C: Wayne the Wise Holds the High Ground
Tier C was ruled by Wayne Danjin (-2), whose mastery of precision putts made him the Obi-Wan Kenobi of this division—cool, calculated, and unwilling to give up the high ground.
The Sith Lords of the tier, Scott Foster (+1) and Jon Rhine (+1), dueled fiercely but ultimately had to settle for a draw. Meanwhile, Larry Nunes (+3) and Gage Mercer (+9) found themselves caught in a sandstorm on Tatooine, struggling to navigate the treacherous course.
Can Wayne keep his Jedi calm, or will the challengers rise like a Sith uprising?
Tier D: The Carrie Conundrum—Jedi or Sith?
In Tier D, Carrie Foley (+7) emerged victorious for the third straight week, continuing her undefeated streak. At this point, the question must be asked—is she truly a Jedi bringing balance to the Force, or is she following the same dark path as Kelly?
Some believe she is the chosen one, destined to rule Tier D with wisdom and skill. Others wonder if she has secretly tapped into the same Sith powers that have fueled Kelly’s reign in Tier B. Three weeks of dominance cannot be ignored.
Meanwhile, Gwendolyn Hoibokk (+20) and Rheannon Fabrallo (+21) fought bravely, but Carrie’s steady play ensured she claimed victory once again.
What is certain? Carrie’s rule over Tier D is absolute—for now.
