Week 4: The Battle for the Chains – A Game of Throws and an Ace to Remember
As winter’s chill clings to the land, the warriors of the Chilled Chainsmen League gathered once more upon the battlefield, their sights set on conquest, their hands gripping the discs like the swords of old. This week, the clash of titans saw another name etched into the annals of legend, as the battle for league dominance raged on.
Tier A: Thomas Voight’s 10-Under Masterpiece – A Song of Chains and Fire
In the great war of the Chainsmen, a new champion has risen, if only for a night. Thomas Voight, the Lord of the Fairway, unleashed a relentless assault, carving a path through the course like a dragon’s flame. His 10-under performance was not only a masterclass in precision but also the second recorded 1000+ rated round of the season—proof that he belongs among the greats.
Yet even as he claimed this triumph, other challengers lurked in the shadows. Marshal Morris, only one stroke behind at 9-under, stood like a cunning Hand to the King, ready to seize power at a moment’s notice. Isaiah Gall followed at 8-under, ever the steadfast knight, unshaken in his quest for the throne. Dave Rector held his ground at 5-under, while Justin Foster remained locked in a battle of wills at 4-under. The war is far from over.
Tier B: The Warbands Gather – A Fight for Supremacy
Beneath the banners of Tier B, warriors clashed with steel nerves and unyielding resolve. Patrick Phelps and Kelly Allen, both at 5-under, played a game of patience and precision, securing their places at the head of their house. Jake Ratliff, at 3-under, remains a cunning tactician, biding his time, waiting for the moment to strike. And in a moment fit for the legends of old, Jake sent the gallery into a frenzy as he aced Hole 15, proving that fate rewards the bold. Alex Strawn finished at 1 under, proving that though he has yet to seize a throne, his sword arm is steady. Selven Christianson, finishing even, continues to prove his resilience in the fight for dominance.
Tier C: The Lords of the Underdark – A Battle of Grit
In the lands of Tier C, where only the strong endure, the trials grew fiercer. Adam Fogelman, despite the hardships of his journey, continued to fight, finishing with a 4-under score. But as he continues to rack up victories, one question looms over the battlefield—how long before he ascends to Tier B, where even greater challenges await?
Jon Rhine and Wayne Danjin faced their own trials, finishing at +5 and +7, respectively. Scott Foster, at +8, remains battle-tested, while Kim Lord Dela Cruz, at +12, stands as a warrior unbowed. Some battles are not won in a single night, but through a long campaign of resilience.
Tier D: The Ladies of the North Hold Fast
In the cold north, where the winds howl and the chains rattle like the whisper of old gods, the warriors of Tier D stood unbowed. Carrie Foley, at +9, showed the fire of a queen in exile, refusing to yield. Rheannon Fabrallo, finishing at +15, remains undeterred, for true warriors know that the greatest victories are forged in the crucible of adversity. Jaxton Ratliff, at +20, proves that the strength of one’s will is mightier than any scorecard. They do not fall; they only rise.
The Road Ahead: Who Will Seize the Throne?
Thomas Voight has claimed his place in the histories, but the battle is far from over. The great houses of the Chainsmen League sharpen their weapons for the wars yet to come. Will another warrior rise from the ranks to challenge him? Will a dark horse emerge from the shadows, upsetting the balance of power? And will Adam Fogelman soon find himself battling in Tier B, where even more legendary duels await?
Only time—and the throws of fate—will tell.
So prepare yourselves, brave throwers, for winter is still upon us, and the fight for the crown has only just begun.
Until next week—may your throws be true, and may your chains never break.
