If you have not been to Springvilla since last year be advised that the bridge just west of the park is closed, you have to go in the “back way”. GPS is not always correct. Sometimes it thinks the bridge is open, sometimes it thinks the whole road is closed, and sometimes it is correct. Here are directions to the park.
If you are coming via I85 take exit 60. At the end of the exit ramp take a left. Just after the Raceway take the first left onto Old Columbus Road. You will cross two railroad crossings, the second is very rough so take it slow. At the 4 way stop continue straight. When you get to Union Grove Baptist Church take a right on Lee County road 151(there is a blue Springvilla sign). At the stop sign take a right(there is another blue Springvilla sign) the park is in about a mile on the right.
If you are coming from Columbus, Phenix City, Smith Station, etc. via 280 take a left on Old Columbus Road across from Lakeside RV park, there is a sign for the NATC. When you get to Union Grove Baptist Church take a left. At the stop sign take a right. The park is in about a mile on the right.
If you are GPS dependent you can inter Union Grove Baptist Church but make sure you put Opelika AL, apparently there are many churches with that name around the country. When you get to the church take the road besides the church (Lee County Road 151) maybe right maybe left depending on the direction you are coming. At the stop sign take a right.
