I just walked the course and the pads are looking great. Some standing water, but it looks like it's warmed to the point that the water might be absorbing into the ground and not just pooling on the pads.
We will have a player meeting at hole 1 at !0:50 AM to discuss the rules regarding casual relief.
There are lots of pools of water on the fairways. Casual relief is allowed for standing water such as this. You must play at the nearest lie farther away (and in line) with the basket.
806.03 C. A player may obtain relief from a casual area without penalty by marking on the line of play a new lie which is farther from the target and no farther than the nearest lie where the marker disc and lie are outside the casual area.
There is a large and deep body of water behind the baskets of 8/17. This area will be designated as a relief area and you may take the last position on dry land/ice before the disc went into the water as your lie. And sure why not, lets take 1 meter relief from that pool of water (and only that area).
806.04 A. A relief area is an area designated by the Director from which a disc may not be played. A relief area is considered and played as an out-of-bounds area, but no penalty throw is applied.
The lagoon is not OB and there is no relief. I walked the ice near the shoreline and it seemed the same as always. But YMMV, and you may choose to re-tee with penalty should you shank your drive into open water.
I highly recommend cleats and water proof shoes as the fairways, greens, and even walking tunnels are full of pools of water and super slick of course.
