Club Members:
Thank you again for your membership and continued support of disc golf in Northern Virginia. This Sunday will be our first club monthly of 2025 and the first opportunity to pick up your 2025 membership pack.
If you are playing in the monthly:
Please remember to check in with your 2024 membership tag, if you have one. You will keep your tag, but this will serve as a tag tiebreaker for the first monthly.You will receive your 2025 tag after the round based on your order of finish.We are strongly considering shortening the layout to short-to-short as a result of the temperature and the snow on the ground.You are permitted to make adjustments to your discs such as applying ribbons to improve visibility. The ace pot is in play and It. Is. Glorious.
If you are not playing in the monthly:
Board members will be on site at one of the Laurel Hill Central Green pavilions from 8:00 through at least 1:00 to distribute membership packs. Any time after 9:30, after the players have begun their round, is the best time for picking up your pack. If you are unable to pick up your membership pack, you will have an opportunity at subsequent monthlies or during the Giles lost & found distribution (Fridays from 4:00-5:30 unless posted otherwise by Jorge on Facebook). As we, and by "we" I mean Jorge, need to store all of the membership items it would be greatly appreciated if you pick up your member pack sooner, rather than later.
A couple other notes:
You can follow club events on Disc Golf SceneWe ask that when purchasing club goods through PayPal, such as discs and leftover tournament swag, that you please kick in an extra dollar to help cover the PayPal fees. This will allow us to allocate more money towards disc golf rather than covering these fees. Cash is welcome in person!
