No worries Nick, I did read the guidelines and I am aware that is is within the right of the tournament directors. My comment is posted purely as a heads up to anyone considering dropping due to unforseen circumstances. Even if you withdraw 2 weeks out, you will receive $8.75. This is an important message because anyone who needs to drop should just stay registered and collect the $15 voucher rather than simply forfeit $30. I think i'd at least rather a $15 credit than a $8.75 merchant refund haha

These policies are put into place to protect TDs. I don't know anything about the logistics of this as I have no involvement, but CADL or Casey probably had to book the BBQ vendor in advance based on registration numbers. It's simply not fair to TDs to potentially eat the full cost based on late drops.
