Good Morning Everyone!
I hope all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday.
I am reaching out this morning to give an update on where we are at with the twice rescheduled last stop of the 2024 Gulf Coast Tour Challenge. As of today, the event is on and the city has confirmed our permit is valid for the 28th, but I still need to review the course to determine if any changes to the layout will be needed.
However, this event was not designed to be played in the shorter days of winter. Specifically, it was created to allow a last tee time of 4:00pm to have ~2.5 hours to finish. Now that the event has been rescheduled to late December when the sunsets at 5:40pm, a last card of 4:00pm is no longer feasible. As such, I will be removing the 3 breaks I normally build into the event (10:30am, 12:00pm, and 1:30pm) and opening those up as tee times. I will also be adding a new tee time at 7:20am and removing the 3:00 - 4:00pm tee time slots.
As of this moment, I am opening up movements of tee times for currently registered players until Thursday, December 5th at 5:00pm. You can move freely to whatever open tee time exists, regardless of your current tee time, by going to the registration page and selecting "Registered Players" and then selecting "Edit" under your name. This will allow you to change your options in your registration, including your tee time.
After this window closes, anyone that is still registered in one of these now closing tee times will be indiscriminately moved to the next closest open tee time.
I will then reopen public registration for the event on Friday, December 6th @ 8:00pm.
Should anyone have any questions or need any additional information, please let me know.
