Announcement:

We have a venue change to announce for the 2024 Space Race.

The event will now be taking place at Oxbow Falls Disc Golf Course (less than 10 miles away) in Canastota.

This change will allow us to run the Space Race as the nighttime glow event it’s intended to be! I am currently working on an updated course map with alternative short tee positions. Tees will be marked with small flags in the ground and the course will be marked with additional flags to help with navigation. Baskets will be lit up with battery powered lights. We will have the course from 3-8pm. I will update everyone with more information on the timing and schedule for the event as soon as possible. If anyone is interested in helping with setup/cleanup send me a message, any extra hands are greatly appreciated!


If you cannot or do not want to play your round in the dark, let me know and I’ll help you form a card and schedule a tee time that works for you.


A few things to note:
- You’ll definitely want to bring a regular flashlight to help light your way around the course.
- UV lights will be extremely helpful for recharging your glow discs. Bring your own, bring one to share, or add one on to your registration.
- Juniors will be required to play on a card with a responsible adult or have one as their caddy, no exceptions.
- Oxbow can be a physically challenging course. While we will have shorter tee positions, some of the course still goes up and down steep hills. Keep an eye on the weather and plan for proper footwear.
- If the weather is forecasted to be unsafe in the days leading up to the event, I will notify everyone of a rescheduled date.
