Sorry for the long comment, Jonah. I sent this message to your UCF email, but haven't heard back, so I'm posting this here.
I'm a faculty member in the College of Business and an avid disc golfer. I'd like to support the club by participating in your doubles fundraiser on 10/19, so I'll ask around to find a partner and register through Disc Golf Scene.
On another note, my son, Sean, was on the team for a few years and competed for UCF at National Collegiates. He started playing in 2017, and I started playing in 2019. As is common for people who have played for more than a few years, between the two of us we have built up quite a collection of discs that neither of us will use any longer. Would it be helpful to the club for me to donate those discs to you to distribute to club members? I'm sure you're knowledgeable enough to recommend them for beginning and more advanced players appropriately. That might be a good marketing tool for you in attracting new players to the club; they don't even need discs. Just have a day or days at the course during which any student interested in learning about how to play can attend, and you'll even provide some discs! I also have a variety of other accessories (stool, birdie bags, minis, etc.) that are yours if you think club members could use them. On a related note, if you need more donated equipment, I'd be glad to contact a couple of the Orlando-area disc golf club directors to coordinate a more widespread donation program.
Finally, please let me know if you have need for a faculty advisor for the club, now or in the future, to help satisfy Office of Student Involvement requirements for student organizations.
