For the past 2 years it has been my desire to get a singles tournament going here in Rhinelander at either Hodag or Pioneer Park with the cooperation of the City of Rhinelander to try and grow this sport up here in the north woods of Wisconsin. We would need 20 portable PDGA approved baskets for the event. Not sure if the city would be willing to spend about $5,000 - $7,000 to purchase baskets that are portable and easy to store while not being used. We could have a handful of tournaments in either of these parks during the summer. Hodag is 25 acres in size, and Pioneer is about 15 acres. I have already measured out a 18 - hole course for myself in Hodag Park, and a 9 - hole course in Pioneer Park to practice on. I think Hodag Park is a beautiful setting for a tournament.
