Assuming that you are referring to the rock island in the field, This is the way it reads in the AM layout that is posted - "Tee shot must land inside the island. If island is missed, play as a HAZARD from where it lands, add a one throw penalty. Mandatory is NOT in play." Remember, this is course hole 18 but tournament hole 16.
