With the regular season finishing yesterday we now look to the Playoffs. The top 8 players from each division are eligible for the 1st Round of the Playoffs next week: Wed 9/4 @ 6pm.
If someone in the top 8 does not show up, the next highest ranked person who does show up gets in the Playoffs.
ALSO, we will be playing as regular for normal weekly payouts and side bets. Just no points. So if you did not make the playoff, still show up. You may get in with no-shows, and still play a normal round.
1st Round of the Playoffs all players will be carded up based on their rankings.
If 8 players show up: 1/2/7/8 and 3/4/5/6, top 2 from each card move on to the Semis.
If only 7 players show up: 1/2/7, 3/4/5/6, top 2 from each card move on to the Semis.
If only 6 players show up: 1/2/6, 3/4/5, top 2 from each card move on to the Semis.
If only 5 players show up: one card with all players, top 4 move on to the Semis.
Semis of the Playoffs will be 4 or 3 players: one card, top 2 more on to the Finals.
Finals of the Playoffs will be 2 players. 1st place is awarded 67% of the pot, 2nd gets 33%. That's right, only the top 2 players are getting paid out.
Ties to move to the next round are based on seeding. Ties for the finals are sudden death on a loop of 1, 2, 18.
If a player makes it through to the next round, but does not show up to the next round their spot is a spoiler and does NOT pass down to the next player from the previous week.
If less than the minimum number of players show up for a round (1st Round = 5 players, Semis = 3 players) then the round is effectively pushed up to the next round. (Ex: 2 players show up for 1st Round, then they are playing for in Finals right there)
