From what I remember from the one I’ve been to. You can find your own mates or hang out until they get you some. You can leave as soon as your round is done but if you are in the lead and there is a tie then it won’t be easy to do a playoff or ctp-off to find a winner.

Hi, thanks for the question. With this being a flex start you would need to find card mates when you arrive. I'll be there to help and there are usually lots of people getting ready for their round that you can join up with. Once your round is done you can leave. I'll collect all the CTPs after the last round goes out and any division winners/CTP winners will be contacted. If you're local I'll arrange a drop off otherwise I will mail discs to the winners.
