Sit back and grab youself a listen. It is time to do the write up and turn light up, and give the Champoeg listeners a good taste of the action this last Thursday night. This league is just getting it's stride going so you better pick up the pace and get back in the race.... This league is kicking butt and taking initials.. (we got no time to stop and take names) and the best is yet to come. The night was an epic episode of high flying discs and big hyzer flips, with nary a frown to be seen. 77 players crossed the sea that is called Champoeg but there was only one captain of the ship at the end of this voyage.
With the skill level at a peak and the 22 hole layout set before the people the task was simple.......22 birdies and victory is in the bag. And there was one pod of perfect plate passers that hit the mark. Team Aaron 'Skinny D' Donaldson and Oliver Jim (winner of the finale event of this league last year) took the high road and got the low score with a final tally of -22!! Damn Skippy!! The podium was packed with talent as 2nd and 3rd place were just 1 chain trap off of perfect with -21. And after the showcase throwdown it was team Brenden Alexander and Jack Toohey holding silver and Dallas Garber DG (the kid) and Derick Cannon (the disc finder) with the bronze. There was plenty of birdie bashing all around as there were 20 teams with at least -12 on the night. Everyone is getting their Turkey Tickets and there will be plenty more to grab. Way to bring it and ring it!
