As you may or may not know, Water Works Park is going through a construction phase this year. New walking paths are going in from the sidewalk near 8/9 down to 5, up 4 and 5 fairway, and then across and along 3 down to the sidewalk there.

While we knew this was going to happen, we did not know the timing of the construction, and it has taken us by surprise. We are at the mercy of the city when it comes to construction projects in their parks.

We are currently in discussions with the city, but it appears that holes 4, 5 and 6 will not be available for play, and 3 only in part.

What does this mean for the KCFDC? Safari golf!!

Assuming it works with the construction schedule, all pools will play the same Water Works layout. After discussions with Jack Lowe and Ted Keith, the layout tentatively will be:

1. Long
2. Long left over hill (par 4)
3. Temp or tee to temp placement
4. 7 to left
5. 8 to short, double Mando, very tight OB Long.
6. 9 pad to 5 long left... walk back to
7. Temp (sidewalk) to 9 right
8. 10 middle
9. 11 middle
10. 12 short right
11. Temp (sidewalk) to 12 on peninsula
12. 13 short
13. 14 short
14. 15 straight
15. 16 middle
16. Temp (sidewalk) to 8 long (sidewalk safe)
17. 17 to corner by road
18. Long left
