Hey everyone. I just wanted to pass on a VERY helpful reminder to anyone that chooses to partake in 4/20 festivities, whether it be this Saturday, or in general, at any Michigan park. Despite the laws in Michigan and the fact this is an unsanctioned event, it is illegal to possess/consume marijuana in or within 1,000 feet of any park and can be a misdemeanor OR a felony (judge's discretion). I will be at tournament central most of the day and will ensure that no one is smoking anywhere close by, especially given the playground is directly adjacent to the pavilion (this should never happen). I've also heard from a very reliable source that there WILL be a St. Joseph County Police presence at the park on Saturday, whether it's a quick couple of passes through, or more, I am not sure. I don't want anyone to have that kind of a bad day, so please, please use discretion in how you prepare for and participate in the event. Less than 4 days away...let's go!!
