Last-minute details for the Twilight Throwdown -
Registration closes tonight(2/28) at 8pm! No late registrations will be allowed as we have to get our player packs and cards organized on time.
- We will be using Udisc for scoring, if you don't have a Udisc account already either linked to your PDGA number or registering email please do so. If you have a Udisc account that is linked to another email, please send me that info so I can add you to the tournament scoring page and assign you a card before the tournament begins.
- We recommend bringing a UV flashlight if you have it to recharge your disc's glow during the round, we will have a disc glow charging station at a centrally located area on the course, phone flashlights work in a pinch but will chew up your battery and disturb your natural night vision!
- Obviously playing in the woods at night introduces some safety risks, we will have tee areas and baskets illuminated but be mindful of your footing, especially around creeks and rocky, or muddy areas.
- Modified course and scoring information
- We are using a modified 18-hole layout for the twilight throwdown - There are temporary short tee pads on holes 3,4,5 and 14(regular hole 15) and we will be using the sampler tees on holes 15(hole A), 16(hole B), and 18(hole D). When in doubt throw from the illuminated tee area, we will do our best to color coordinate the tee and basket illumination to eliminate confusion if you are unfamiliar with the course. Use some caution when throwing off the temporary tees, there should be no need for full run-ups!
- Certain holes have alien invader targets installed on top of the baskets - these are holes 10, 14, 15, and 18. Hitting the targets off your tee shot will be scored during the tournament as an Ace(1). These will not count for collecting the ace pool, a natural in-the-basket ace must occur to win the ace pool. Additionally hitting the targets on your 2nd+ shots does not result in the hole being completed, you must finish with a shot into the chains as normal. Hitting the alien invaders off the tee will also win you some special prizes, so make sure you let the TD know if you hit one or more of them!
- Beverages will be available for purchase on the course during the round, we will have water available for folks to refill water bottles as well.
Prizes and Trophies
- The top three finishers in each division will receive these prizes
1st place - 3d printed glow trophy, $50 Steel String Brewery gift card
2nd place - $30 Steel String Brewery gift card
3rd place - $15 Steel String Brewery gift card
- CTP prizes on 9 holes by our sponsor Yeet Street Discs + plus roaming alien challenges - we will roam the course card to card offering single-hole challenges that will win fun prizes if completed!
- Ace pool - $3 from every registration is going into our ace pool, anyone who scores a natural ace during the tournament on any hole will receive a share of the ace pool. The pot will be split for each player who records an ace.
We look forward to hosting everyone for this fun glow tournament tomorrow evening!
