Player Email:
Hello all and thank you for registering for the ThroWYCO Challenge!
The purpose of this email is to provide all of the information you will need for the event.
We are excited to have the opportunity to partner with Little America for this event!
As we continue to grow the disc golf presence in our local communities we encourage you to be kind to one another and please leave the course better than you found it.
This is a PDGA Sanctioned event and as such all rules are in effect including no Alcohol and Substance consumption during your rounds.
Check in runs from 9am-9:45am: All Players must Check in with us. We will be set up on the back patio near the Little America Golf Club house. Players packs will be ready for pickup during check-in. AM players please ensure you have your order placed by 9PM tomorrow evening. If you have not received your coupon code please reach out via email and we will get you square away. We will also have other store items for sale onsite that can be purchased via cash, card or paypal. Let us know if there is anything specific item(s) you would like us to have on site and we will be sure to bring them out.
We are allowing registrations up until 9:30 AM on the date of the event. Please encourage your friends (and enemies) to sign up! Starting holes will be posted HERE shortly after registration closes.
The round will start at 10:30am. We will shout Two minutes at 10:28am, it may be difficult to hear, but you will be under two minutes, your score keeper will be the teller of the time, when the clock strikes 10:30am BEGIN YOUR ROUND.
Playoffs for first place will be solved immediately after the last card is turned in per PDGA Rule 1.09B. We will use sudden-death play on holes 18, 1, 2 in a loop until decided. Check with the TD before proceeding to break the tie.
Ace Pool: Currently we have 10 people paid in which means the ace pot is $50, there will be a CTP on hole 18 for the Ace Pool if it is not hit.
Please note: The Little America Golf Club house will NOT be open. Restrooms will be located near Hole 10s tee in the main building (just past the coffee shop to the right) or in the gas station across the street from hole 10s pin. Additionally, there is a coffee shop and gift shop in the main entrance that has a variety of snacks and drinks for purchase. We are guests at Little America, please treat anyone you come in contact with including hotel guests, staff, and grounds/housekeepers with utmost respect. We want to be welcomed back time and again.
Scoring is going to be done on PDGA.Com/Score or the PDGA App, the code to get in is omitted. EVERYONE from the group is required to keep score, one via the official method, the others via PDGA ideally, but paper, or Udisc is acceptable. The group can decide who keeps the PDGA and who keeps the other PDGA or Udisc. The Digital Scorecard is the OFFICIAL score card of the event. After you complete scoring make sure everyone’s score is confirmed prior to anyone leaving for the day.
IN 2024 EVERYONE ON YOUR CARD MUST KEEP SCORE: IF YOU REFUSE TO KEEP SCORE, YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED! IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO STICK AROUND UNTIL YOUR SCORE IS CONFIRMED AND SUBMITTED!
Guidance is below:
How to Keep Score in 2024: Player & TD Guidance | Professional Disc Golf Association
and HERE ARE THE UPDATED 2024 RULES
Below you will find the course notes and HERE you will find a course map.
Course Notes:
For the ball golf greens we will play the tarps to define the OB area.
Beyond all fences is OB, all streets are OB. Golf cart paths are IN bounds. The ponds will most likely be frozen over and/or snow covered, but will still be OB. There is a significant drop off to the pond's edge that should be recognizable on holes 1, 5, 9 and 10. If you are on the edge you are probably safe, if you are well past the edge (drop off) you are OB. Your card should use their best judgment to decide if your disc is past the edge and would be considered OB. Take relief from the edge (drop off) with a penalty stroke. If there is any question please play a provisional and check with the TD after the round. The warm temperatures make walking on Ice BAD, Do not walk on the ice.
Snow has been cleared off all tee pads and they are all dry.
Holes 1-9 & 18 tees are artificial turf except hole 2 is dirt tee marked with orange stakes.
Holes 10-17 tee from the cart paths, except 15 (road) & 16 (dirt) and are marked with orange flags.
Ignore other flags on the course that are not orange.
See below for hole specific rules. *The PDGA score card will be used as the official rules if there are any discrepancies.
