Hi everyone!
Sorry for all the confusion you’ve been experiencing today about the tournament. To reiterate from our prior email, earlier this morning, we received word from the Village of Marshall that Bird’s Ruins was closing for the spring, effective immediately, meaning we could no longer host the Brrawl there on Sunday.
Instead of cancelling the tournament, we’ve been looking for an alternate venue, and are excited to share that the tournament is now being held at Nine Springs Golf Course in Madison, WI.
Our plan for the tournament will remain the same. As of now, the ace pool is currently sitting at a whopping $480, and we will have a handful of CTPs sprinkled throughout the course as well that we will talk to everyone about at check-in. Payout to the Top-40%-ish of each division will still be done thru MadMando and will be available to use starting on Wednesday February 28th.
With all being said, we completely understand if any of you wish to bow out from the tournament due to the given changes. We ask that you let us know of any refunds/cancellations by noon on Saturday, so that we can reorganize tee times and finalize the schedule.
Additionally, due to the change of venue there is now a $5 greens fee being charged per player. The club will pay the total greens fee for however many players end up playing in the tourney, but with that being said, we would be grateful to anyone who would be willing to chip in a few bucks the day of to help us out. This is totally optional and not at all expected or required, but would be greatly appreciated.
Please reach out to [email redacted] or [email redacted] with any questions/concerns about the tournament or if you wish to withdraw and get your refund, and we’ll do our best to get those processed as soon as possible.
Thank you all for your understanding and patience. We’re super excited to still be able to have the tournament Sunday despite the hurdles and are hoping the weather forecast holds up!
See you all on Sunday,
Disc Golf Badgers Officer Team
