I hope that everyone who played this tournament and plans to play more CVS events, will take time to read the instructions and fill the cards out properly. Some of you are new to disc golf and tournaments, so I'm going to try and help you all out.
Throughout the day, cards were received with illegible handwriting, first names only, initials, nicknames, no division written in, 3's circled when everything was par 3 and totals with + or - par.
We did not receive a card from a group. When asked to provide a card with filled out scores, we received a card with only totals, then after the scores were added they came back and asked us to fix a score, which we couldn't check because no scorecard was submitted.
If your name is on the top of the card, it is your responsibility to bring the card to the hole.
It is the responsibility of every person to check their own score.
Please write in your TOTAL score.
Everyone has an opinion on how to make things better, but if everyone would take the time to fill in the cards properly, things will automatically run smoother. It was tough trying to guess who someone was. Anthony did a great job getting everyone in to play the tournament with last minute signups/dropouts. He also can't printout scorecards with all of the info at the course.
Other than this, I thought the tournament went well. Thank you to everyone who helps by volunteering with course setup, maintenance, scoring, JohnO for tasty beverages, Menchaca for cooking and OTB for continued support of the CVS. I'm also pretty sure Farnsworth has secured his position for permanently announcing awards!!!
Big thanks to Anthony, The Windjammers and everyone who came out to play.
