Just sent this email out fam! See ya soon!
Good morning Bullet Bashers! Daniel sent out a great email that many of you probably already received, but so much is relative to today that I am sending most of it here again, with a few specific additions to today's news. Please review the information below and let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
PLEASE give a BIG THANK YOU to Daniel & Glen if you see them out and about. They put a ton of work into these events, and I can't imagine doing it without them.
Cheers!
Below is a schedule of events
-Friday 02/02/24 – Bullet Bash Sunset Shotgun Start
Springfield DGC
1200 Boulevard St
Jacksonville, FL 32206
Check - In 3:00 - 3:40 PM. Player Meeting at 3:40
Due to a freight delay the Cooly Cups, Lids, and Straws did not arrive, and will not be included in your player pack today. As an alternative, I am increasing the voucher value to $20 so that you may purchase a cup next time we're together or anything else you may like.
PDGA live scoring will be the default scoring method. To access live scoring download the PDGA app or go to
www.pdga.com/score , access code = BB64 . If you have never used live scoring before I recommend checking out the following website as it has a good guide on how it works.
https://www.pdga.com/apps/tournament/score/help . As of the start of 2024 the PDGA rules state that ALL PLAYERS are required to keep score. So make sure you have the necessary items to be able to keep score for both rounds (phone fully charged, writing utensils, clipboard, etc) Please make sure you confirm scores when your round is completed! If you are unsure if you confirmed scores come to TD Central after the round is completed for assistance.
If during your round you are unsure on a ruling, play a provisional and then you and ALL of your card mates bring the ruling issue to a course director after your round. If you are unfamiliar with what a provisional is, follow this link to the PDGA ruling website. (
https://www.pdga.com/rules/official-rules-disc-golf/80902)
The layouts for the tournament also have been set up on UDisc, if you are unfamiliar with the course or have not played the course in a while I highly recommend looking the layouts over as we have had some changes to the course the last couple of years.
For those unfamiliar with the area, the course is located in the middle of downtown Jacksonville. That being said, parking can be a bit of a hassle, especially for events so please carpool if possible. A parking plan was required by the city to get approval for our permit, so the guidelines outlined below should be followed to ensure we can have more events at this course in the future. The small parking lot near holes 1, 17 & 18 will be CLOSED as this will be tournament central and is reserved for tournament staff.
Please avoid parking in front of residential properties if possible. Keeping the homeowners who live around the course happy will go a long way in keeping the image of disc golf in the Springfield community positive. The two big parking lots marked on the attached map have more than enough room for all players attending the event.
