I quite agree with you. But I think it is a matter of technical possabilities on this plattform to get on optimized version of first come, first served principal. Like some know that for concert or cinema seats, where you get the reservation blocked for it for a limited time-slot of 5-10 Minutes to finish "ordering" with the payment. I thought its enough to have the paypal app open(by fingerprint) but then I needed to open my password manager on the PC and lost crutial minutes for it as I don't know that by rote. So I am #2 on Waitlist and still optimistic to get a spot. I don't blame others for it. I did not know the procedure here beacause its my fist try to register since years on this platform. Anyway my tip for the future: Have some additional pre registering notes on the page like "Time stamp for registration is not the first click to register for the tournament. It's the payment time stamp on paypal. No other criteria like rating used to get your spot. Just be fast!"
