Maybe a dumb question, but I noticed turkey toss last year was a B tier and this year its a C tier. Was this a PDGA ruling or was it dropped to C tier to include more sign ups without PDGA numbers? Nov 14, 2023

Hey bud. There's 2 main reasons. But first, the PDGA doesn't decide whether an event is a B Tier or C Tier - the TD does. Last year the event was a B on Saturday, there was also a 1 round C tier the next day to give more people a chance. So the move was partly to give non PDGA folks a crack at it (but that rule changes next year, C tiers will also require membership. Another reason is that this event traditionally has tons of last minute sign ups - making it very difficult to plan effectively without a huge financial liability on my part. (I'm already donating a bunch of time and expense to make it happen, but I don't want to be on the hook for adding an additional $750 to payouts when I can't reasonably plan for the amount of attendees).
