The issue is avoid distraction and showing courtesy. There is a fair amount of standing around and waiting, but you are surrounded on all sides in other fairways, tees, or greens with other competitors. Your guest need to know that this is not necessarily family friendly. Quiet. Focused attention. Not wandering or making unexpected movements or noises. Seen but not heard. Plan on a 2.5 hour or longer round (×2). Leaving the course in mid-stream is difficult because the fairways are the only way in or out. Most cards will be tolerant until...and then you will be issued warnings and possibly penalty strokes. Bringing your family to MVP Space Race and other non sanctioned events might make yours and their experience better.

Another thing to consider, there are five competitors on each card. If you bring your family, you will have doubled the size of the group. Some times and places they are not going to see much because the area may not accommodate them.
