Good Evening All,

This will serve as your players meeting for tomorrow. Welcome all to the 2023 Michigan State Championship doubles 2023! Due to a scheduling conflict, your TD has changed from me to the illustrious Mike Kemp! Tournament central will be in the winter sports building by hole 1 of River's Edge. Please be sure to check in with Mike when you arrive.

Layouts & OB are as follows, and will be posted on the PDGA live scoring app. Code for live scoring saturday will be MIDUBS1.

Renegades Trail:
Hole 1: Long - OB inside of, or on top of the wooden box surrounding the generator, or on top of the winter sports building
Hole 2: Long - Long: Mandatory over the wall and through the gap, left of the mandatory arrow. Road and over right is OBOB road and over right
Hole 3: Long - Long: No Ob
Hole 4: Long - Short: OB fence and over right (out of the park)
Hole 5: Long - Long: No Ob
Hole 6: Long - Long: Sand bunker by short basket is OB, rocks are not OB, only sand
Hole 7: Long - Long: Sand bunker by short basket is OB, rocks are not OB, only sand
Hole 8: Short - Long: OB road and over right
Hole 9: Long - Long: Ob road and over right
Hole 10: Long - Long: Ob road and over right
Hole 11: Short - Long: Sand bunkers on other fairways are OB, rocks and mulched areas are not OB, only sand.
Hole 12: Long - Short: OB fence and over left, outside of park
Hole 13: Long - Long: OB bunker fairway right is OB, inside the rocks, rocks are not OB. Sand bunker by the basket is OB, rocks are not OB.
Hole 14: Long - Long: No Ob
Hole 15: Long - Short: Sand bunkers by the basket are OB, rocks and mulched areas are not OB, only sand
Hole 16: Long - Short: No Ob
Hole 17: Long - Short: Play as a Hazard, if you do not make the island off the tee, play your lie with a one stroke penalty. You may take 1 meter relief from the wooden pylons.
Hole 18: Short - Long: OB Road and over right, and long. Volleyball pit sand is also OB. If fountain is running, fountain water is casual

River's Edge:
Hole 1: OB on or over side walk left of tee pad and road beyond pin.
Hole 2: OB on or over parking lot right and road long of basket. If you land on top of the bridge, mark your lie directly beneath the discs location on the bridge and play from there without penalty. OB if on top of utility shed on the left.
Hole 3: OB on or over path/sidewalk long and wrapping around right of the basket. The defining line is the cement walkway edge.
Hole 4: No Ob
Hole 5: No Ob. Sand trap area is not Ob
Hole 6: OB road long of basket. OB road / parking lot right.
Hole 7: OB road and over left.
Hole 8: OB road and over left.
Hole 9: Ob Parking lot right
Hole 10: Ob river if surrounded by water long of basket
Hole 11: No OB. Water in fairway is casual, if any.
Hole 12: OB river long if surrounded by river. Water in fairway is casual, if any.
Hole 13: Ob River right if surrounded by water
Hole 14: No Ob
Hole 15: No Ob
Hole 16: OB river left if surrounded by water.
Hole 17: OB river right if surrounded by water. If your lie is in bounds on bank of the river, but you cannot take a playable stance behind it, you may advance your lie to the first available playable stance, in most cases this will be the top of the bank.
Hole 18: OB river right if surrounded by water. Any dry land is not OB.
