Frank Smith i'm also wondering if this is a bid-only entry tournament? can we come participate without a conference bid?

Hey Alex, I just read the rules and checked with a few others, not sure how accurate this is. I do believe that to play in regional events you do need a berth earned in conference events. On the rules page under conferences point 5, "Each conference will be awarded 12 bids to Regionals. A bid does not guarantee a spot will be available at registration. It only permits your ability to register." Is know CDG is making a lot of exceptions right now because of the delay, are berths not a requirement for this Regional event because of everything that's happening?

It seems bizarre, because if followed by the rule listed only 12 teams could compete. Is it possible that this tournament is open to any teams, but only those with bids from the conference tournament can compete for a D1/2 bid to nationals, and all the other teams are just participating in a conference event?

im with sam here. there have only been 3 conference events from my knowledge and that comes nowhere close to filling up either pool. I have b and c teams that cannot make it to conference events because of other conflicts and it seems wrong to tell them they cant play even tho there are going to be open spots.

I think if your school had a regional bid they can play as well as B, C teams. I believe on teams that have won a conference bid are eligible for the national bid…. I think. It’s very confusing. I wish I had a better answer
