Is there a reason you are making changes to the course less than a week before the tournament? Seems a bit shady that you wait until after the date of withdrawal to alter the course and layout. It's understandable that you might want to change things up from year to year but waiting until less than 7 days to do so and past the date of withdrawal just doesn't seem right. Also, I'm curious, for a tournament supposedly designed around players on the upper scale of age, why are you making OB's as well as holes, longer and more challenging even for those with younger arms? This tournament just a couple years ago used to have a waiting list to get into but perhaps it's time to rethink some of the changes being made so you might regain your players and get more than five groups playing.
