Here is the official refund policy that was on the website info when you registered and also on the refund request email you sent me. The current refund policy for Shades of Gray Masters Sponsored By Discmania is as follows:

PeaceJames CO is responsible for all refunds/cancellations following exact PDGA Rules. All refunds/cancellations will be charged a $10 handling fee.
Anytime through August 17, 2023 = 100% PayPal refund
August 18 - September 1 = 100% PayPal refund ONLY if your spot is filled from waitlist. If your spot is not filled then TD will choose either the players pack you would have received or 50% PayPal refund for all amateur divisions. All professional divisions will receive 50% PayPal refund.
September 2 until registration closes on September 11 = 100% PayPal refund ONLY if your spot is filled from waitlist. If your spot is not filled then TD will choose either the players pack you would have received or 25% PayPal refund for all amateur divisions. All professional divisions will receive 25% PayPal refund.
Absolutely no refunds at all after registration closes September 11, 2023.
--------------- As you said, your request came in August 28, which is in the 50% refund period based on the posted refund policy and also matches the PDGA Rules 1.03. Also if you notice at the top of the refund policy and again allowed by the rules, there is a $10 handling fee for all refunds. So I refunded your $55 by 50% = $27.50, then took off that $10 handling fee resulting in the $17.50 refund.
