In case you missed the email from Shawn….we are running a DISTANCE competition following the end of the PA State championship on Sunday!
We are running tee times on Sunday but I am hoping this will entice you all to hang out a bit and watch the final round to crown the PA state champ. Immediately after the final round we will run the distance competition at Muddy Run, between the upper pavilion and hole 8’s fairway (throwing off the road). Since this is a first time thing, we’re gonna keep it somewhat simple. $5 entry and we will pay out the top 3 players and first place will receive a trophy donated by DiscOrganized and Elevated Disc Golf Events!. $4 of every entry will go to prizes and $1 of each entry will go to the continuing project for Akron Tee Pads!
The competition will include only one division and anyone is welcome. So if you want to just get a few marks or support the Akron project, you are welcome to come participate! Even if you are not able to play PA states you are welcome to show up and throw.
Each player will get three throws and then the top 5 will get another three throws in the finals. Best throw out of all six will take the crown as the PA State Distance Champion!
I will need a few volunteers to run around and mark throws for me during the competition. If you are willing to watch some bombs and help out, please shoot me a message and let me know!
