Things are moving ahead with the Beach City Disc Golf Course. The baskets have arrived and are on site.
The next step is to finalize the clearing. The Army Corp staff has a good start but needs assistance. Several people volunteered to help and now is thre time. The Army Corp is going to be busy until after Aug 22nd. In the meantime, we would like to organize some clean-up / clearing days with those who have volunteered. Anyone who has completed the volunteer form can go out and clean-up, weed wack, prune and do minor clearing with hand tools until then.
We would like to set up group clearing/clean-up days on Aug.26th, Sept 9th and Sept 16th. If we can get enough cleared to where the baskets won't be in danger of the clearing operation, the baskets can be set. The Army Corp will dig the holes and provide sack-crete.
At the end of Sept. the final monies will be released and signs can be ordered and set along with the conc. tees. The Army Corp will excavate the pads, order the concrete, and have concrete buggies / loaders to transport concrete. They would need help setting forms and finishing the concrete on a day(s) tbd.
