Hello! It's not about spots open or not the week of the event, which is why I close the registration way ahead of time. The tournaments up at Sundance are not just a simple PDGA event. There is multiple kinds of box lunches for both days, dinner, breakfast, camping with and without vehicle, b&b lodging, mini disc golf, accuracy, putting, and glow round. Each of those has to be ok'd and accounted for by the ranch in addition to the appropriate score cards and passes. This is why I have the registration open for 3 months! If you miss the deadline, I'm sorry you missed out. Another reason I run three tournaments up at Sundance each year so everyone has an opportunity to play if they want.
