Hi everyone!
Alice, Stephen, and I are looking forward to seeing you on Sunday for
Tiger Lily III!
Use this address to find the disc golf course on Google Maps: XFG3+CH,
Brambleton, VA 20105. Unless you need to use the restroom, then just
use this address: 42071 Nature Overlook Dr, Aldie, VA 20105. That will
take you to the Nature Center, which is adjacent to the course. The
Nature Center will be closed but the outside entrance to the restrooms
will be open for us.
There aren’t any benches or seats, so if you have a camp chair or a
stool that you can bring for lunch, please do. We’ve got lunch - wraps
from Subway, cookies from Wegmans, and chips. We’ll have water
available on the course and flavored sparkling water for lunch.
We’ll play two rounds of 18 to the white tees. The Nature Center
restrooms are available from the tees at Holes 7 and 12. I put notes
on the scorecard to remind you. There is a map of the course included
in the map of the park.
Speaking of the scorecard, we’ll be keeping score on the PDGA app,
which you can download from the app store on your phone, or through
pdga.com/score. The passcode is lily3. Two players on the card are
required to keep score.
I’ll have the cards set by Saturday night, but please check them in
the morning in case there are any drops.
We'll have a $2 ace pot that you can pay into when you check in. If no one hits an ace, we'll donate the money to Women Giving Back, a nonprofit in Sterling that helps women and children in need.
Make sure to bring a good bug spray that works against ticks. The
course is totally in the woods, so at least it will be in the shade if
it’s hot.
The player pack includes:
Lip balm and soap from Harmonia Body and Home. There is a selection of
scents and flavors for you to choose from. They are locally made here
in Loudoun County.
Candle from Grace + Love Candle Company. You can choose from a variety
of scents.
