Thanks for sending your concerns Ken. We don't want anyone to feel at a disadvantage and only mean for the break to be very brief as you have to walk past the clubhouse from Red 18 to Blue 1 anyways. Last time we did a Doubles tournament that used the Red course, cards took 3-4 hours to play on average. We've provided 3.5 hours after the first tee time on red until the 1st hole on Blue has a spotter so that's right in the middle. Practice putting would be considered a Practice Throw and violates PDGA rules so that wouldn’t be allowed since the event is PDGA sanctioned. I understand your concern about a potentially long break and about "getting cold" but hopefully it's not a long break and the timing works out smoothly. It's a little tricky estimating how long it’ll take players of mixed divisions playing doubles that goes into scheduling the spotters. Again, we hope the timing of spotters and the transition from Red to Blue isn’t a problem on Sunday. We’re always working to improve our events and with this being only the second doubles event we’ve run, there will certainly still be tweaks we can make to improve. If the wait is a problem, we’ll learn and will strive to make improvements for next time. Let me know how it went following the event so we can consider any needed adjustments in the future.
