Let's get to the event summary :
What a great day! The weather was great, a very slight breeze, and lots of friends - some established friendships, and hopefully a few new ones created.
I want to thank EVERYONE who came out to the event. Lots of options in a growing disc golf community and we are thankful that you picked us! I also want to thank everyone that helped out yesterday. While my name is listed as the TD, we could not do what we do in the way of events without the help of those who provide helping hands. Thank you to Team WC Glow and those of you that helped throughout the day and at the end of the event. You help makes our events run smooth.
Thank you also the staff at Independence Lake for maintaining the course, helping us with getting water out on the course, and checking in on us to see if there were other things they could help with. Really appreciate your support at our events.
Scores are on the PDGA Event page. I will be working on getting the Event report completed and submitted to the PDGA, as well as getting scores up here on DGS. LOTS smiles and laughs yesterday, which lets me know that you enjoyed your day. Congratulation to all the division winners and those that had to playoff for the trophies/plaques. Lots of great teams out there. Ace pool was taken by Ian Fowler (his ace was on 8 West), and the 50-50 was taken by Charlie Messerly (that was on 17 East)
Lastly, if there are things that we can be doing to improve your experience at events, please send me a message or use the feedback option for the event. I know some things in a doubles event are not easy to mange (like a group of 6 when divisions do not break down evenly), but we want to make sure that we continue to hear your thoughts so that we can continue to improve what we do.
