Good morning! Cheryl and I are excited that you signed up to be part of the Crossover Spring Doubles BYOP at Cedar Grove tomorrow (5/21). This will be a 2 round, non-PDGA event. We will all shotgun start at 930a.
Tomorrow Cheryl will be doing most of the TD work.
When you arrive tomorrow, please park in the gravel area up around the house/garage, or in the grass right in front of the house. Cheryl will be doing check in from 845-920a in the garage (the door is in between the house and garage). Our address is 21208 Meadow Lane 47041. When you pull on to Meadow Lane, our house if the first one on the right of the shared driveway. There is a planter that looks like a disc golf basket.
It's going to be a great day. The layouts for the event will be BLUE first round, which is best disc format. The second round will be PURPLE, and is best disc as well. We will be playing the 20 hole layout and follow the tee signs as marked.
All entry fees will go to payouts, 2 CTP's per round, and an ACE fund, as well as lunch provided. Cheryl will be grilling hot dogs, and will have chips, dessert and drinks.
In between rounds, we will do an approximate hour lunch break. We are pretty far out here, so you might want to bring/pack a lunch if you don't want the provided lunch. The closest options are an IGA with lunch items (15 minutes) and a Subway (20 minutes).
Here is the schedule of events. The schedule will look like this:
845-920a - Player Check In
930a - Shotgun Start Round 1 BLUE
@1130a - Lunch
@1230p - Round 2 PURPLE
@230p - Awards
In the event of a tie for 1st, we will start the playoff on hole 1 playing the BLUE layout. If no ACE is hit during the round, we will do a throw off for the ACE fund, where the closest disc wins the money.
The Open divisions will receive a cash payout for this event. All other divisions will play for Crossover Cash which can be redeemed for merchandise following the round. For this event, we will pay out the top 33% of each division.
Even though it is a non-PDGA event, we will still follow the PDGA rules for the event as far as making calls on discs and such. The course is marked well and the tee signs are accurate.
It's going to be a fun event. Again, we are excited that you are going to join us.
See you in the morning!
Josh and Cheryl
