The conditions tonight were pretty nice but a little windy! We grew AGAIN this week! We had 18!! Let's keep growing again next week! ????

Blake Hohlbein (MPO) shot the hot round ???? at 48 (-7)! ????⛓ Blake also had the lone #turkey of the night (1-3). ????????????
Andrew Rowe (MJ18) shot a personal best (+9)! Great work, Andrew! ????
#HOTSTARTS: Robert Mayes birdied his first two holes (3&4)!
COMEBACK of the DAY: Derick Du Vall (MA2) started his round with a double bogey on hole 7. He bounced back with a birdie on hole 8 and battled his way to finish -2 on the round. #mentaltoughness ????????
#STARFRAME: Blake Hohlbein (MPO), Derick Du Vall (MA2), and Connor Lucas (MA2) had a star frame on hole 1. ⭐️
HIGH SCHOOL HIGHLIGHT: Ryan Firchau PARKED hole 6 for the only birdie of the day for the high school squad! Hole 6 was only birdied by 2 others today (Blake Hohlbein & Ronald Stringer) We loved to see 4 high school throwers tonight!
Blake Hohlbein (MPO) had the only birdie on hole 16 tonight. Blake is the only person to birdie hole 16 this league season and this is the second time Blake has birdied hole 16 this season. ????????
Sebastian Dunham (MPO) & Tanner Bowles (MPO) had the only birdies on hole 15! ????????
Jayse Land (MJ18) had an incredible throw-in on hole 9 to save par. It ricocheted off the rim, then chains, then was spinning on edge on the basket rim and dropped in from over 100ft away! ????????⛓
Erika Smith (MA3) came out and showed the boys how it’s done. Erika shot 55 (E) and beat 11 of the 17 other people that were there. Great work, Erika! For those that don’t realize, Erika is currently the 134th-best woman disc golfer in Michigan out of 1,087, and that’s strictly based on her current rating. I think it is very likely she is top 50 to top 25 when she’s on!
Lowlights
There were 30 double bogeys (or worse). #ouch – That is more than last week, but we did add two newer high school players this week, so really that’s not that bad, and we had more people overall this week!! Keep practicing, everyone!
Nobody birdied 5, 7, 9, 13, or 18. ???? This is the first week hole 7 hasn’t been birdied. That tucked position is TOUGH! Probably most shocking was that hole 5 didn’t get birdied, though it wasn’t birdied in week 1 either. Sebastian Dunham is the only player to birdie hole 7 in the tucked (c) position.
After 6 weeks, hole 18 still hasn’t been deuced.

CTP's
Hole 3 – Blake Hohlbein put it 3ft 1.5in from the pin with a skying Axiom Proton Fireball that was animal aided. As the disc plummeted to the earth, some people with dogs were spotted walking right next to the basket. Fortunately, the energy of the discs was broken up by hitting the ground first and then brushing the dog’s shoulder, as the owner explained at the bench of hole 4. $5 of club credit! ????
Hole 10 (W2 Make-Up) – Robert Mayes put it about 15 feet away for the CTP and the nice birdie! Nice work, Bob! $5 of club credit! ????
Hole 11 – Blake Hohlbein it 13ft 6in to the right of the basket with a LucidX Justice with a savvy forehand. $5 of club credit! ????
NOTE: Blake will sit out the CTP’s next week and will sponsor a High School Only CTP for the high school throwers!
