As we enter a "really wet decade", anything below the fall line is going to get soaked. The ogeechee is the only un-dammed river in GA. When the course was put in the County, along with many locals, said they hadn't seen the river rise "that far" in over a decade and the growth supported their claims, so the designers took them at their word. A more permanent solution is in the works for when the river does rise beyond nominal. H2 has plans to add temp holes to allow skipping the fishing holes.
