Hey everyone!
I’m going to rattle off a few updates, but expect an email in the next week or so as well.
The White layout you’ll be playing in the Spring Open will include 10 and 16’s Blue tees. I have uploaded the layout to UDisc for your practice rounds.
The course is in really good shape after the ice storm last week, and the coming week looks very promising for fully drying the course out. We’re spending the next two weeks dropping woodchips on top of some of the potential problem areas as insurance, but in general the work we put in last year for water mitigation seem to be paying off!
We’d still love to get another competitor (or two) in FA1 so the ladies who are already signed-up can have their own card. Please bug your FA1 friends to join the fun!
The custom stamped discs are scheduled to arrive on Monday. We ordered through Innova again, and the molds are: Champion Jay, Champion Eagle, Champion Leopard3, Champion IT, Champion Firebird, Star Rancho Roc, Star Toro, Star Wombat3, Star Gator, Star TL, and Star Valkyrie. There are 10 of each mold, and they will be available to claim on a first come, first serve basis starting on the Friday before the tournament.
I was unable to secure a food vendor for the event, so please bring your own lunch and snacks.
We’ll have some pretty snazzy looking trophies courtesy of Jacob Joron. Jacob was also kind enough to donate a Terminal Velocity Cervini (10/6/-3/1) and an Eric Oakley Infinite Discs Dynasty (9/5/-1/2) for a tournament-wide raffle for the amateurs. Thanks again, Jacob!
The maple syrup run has been insanely good this year! I can happily confirm that division winners will be presented with a jar of Barry’s homemade maple syrup.
There are currently 19 people signed up for camping on Friday night and 13 on Saturday night. I’ll try to be around and available on Friday to direct campers, but reach out if you don’t run into me when you arrive. My number is (613) 447-8916.
Feel free to ask any questions. I’ll get an updated overview map and caddie book out to everyone in an email during the week before the tournament.
Cheers,
Cam
