After talking with the PDGA I unfortunately cannot make the temp hole a true island hole. Instead, the hole will have a marked "green", everything outside of the flagged green will be considered hazard. If you land in the hazard, you will be assessed a penalty stroke and play from your lie as normal.
I went out yesterday and messed around with the basket location and size of the "island", the hole will be a 248' par 3 with an irregular shaped green that is about a 40' x 30' rectangle. I left a white flag in the ground that is the basket location, and we will be throwing from the old cracked tee on the corner of the fence line near 16 long.
